46% Petit Verdot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc. Refined nose of green herb, black pepper, cinnamon, cola, sausage and an earth component that is unique to Petit Verdot. Tighter than Padres in the mouth, more linear, but this has a core of singular flavor intensity. Built for the cellar, like Padres. An interesting pair to re-consider in a decade.

70% Tempranillo, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot. Relatively forward nose of smoke/earth/sautéed mushroom, charred meat, black tea, cinnamon and a floral fruit character combining orange and cherry. Plush, but not at all fat in the mouth. A middle-weight, despite 15.2% alcohol, that will gain richness and additional complexity with 3-4 years of additional cellaring

50% Mourvedre, 25% Syrah, 25% Petite Sirah. Deep cherry/raspberry coulis aromas with hints of earth and oak spice. Plush, intense flavors of spicy cranberry/cherry jam. Slightly chewy tannin kicks in on the long finish. Drink this over the next 8 – 10 years.

In the mouth, suave flavors of oak spice, red cherry and red currant take over. Not at all a blockbuster – subtle and long. A whopping 14.2% alcohol.

A field blend of Viognier, Riesling, Marsanne, Roussanne and Malvasia Bianca completely barrel-fermented in 2-5 year old French oak. Peppery, spiced apple and white peach aromatics. Spicy flavors of pear, apple and grapefruit.. Light to middle-weight feel in the mouth, but chewy finishing flavors have great hang time.
