A pure cassis core on the palate, gaining added complexity from spicy, slightly dusty, but well-integrated oak. This wine shows fine structure, highlighting blackberries and licorice on the mid-palate and a huge concentration of grilled herbs on the velvety rich palate. A rich spicy cedar aftertaste that lingers, offering a pleasantly surprising note of bitter chocolate on the medium, slightly warm finish.
