The first American Viticultural Area established within Washington State.  Part of the larger Columbia Valley AVA. Largest concentration of wineries and vineyards in the state.  Wiidely planted varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Riesling. Syrah in particular on the rise.
