  • Located in southeastern Washington, part of the larger Columbia Valley AVA. T
  • Borders the Yakima Valley AVA on the north and the Columbia River on the south.
  • Elevations range from 200 feet above sea level in the south to 1,800 feet above sea level at the northern boundary.
  • Grapes planted in the south-facing slopes of the Horse Heaven Hills benefit from strong winds that arrive fom the west via the Columbia Gorge.
  • Home to the single largest wine making facility in Washington, the Columbia Crest Winery (2 million cases) owned by Chateau Ste. Michelle in Paterson.

  • This is the most delicious, beautifully textured, expressive vintage of our Champoux Cab Franc to date. The alcohol has dropped from 14.6 or 14.7 to 14.1 resulting in a more graceful, more flavorful wine. Dense purple-black with subtle aromas of smoked meat and earthiness that give way to violet and rose petal notes. The mouth feel is silky and plush up front with rich tannins in the mid-palate and finish. The flavors of black cherry, fig, dark roast coffee and anis are beautifully integrated. W... ...read more
