  • A black-purple color, the Syrah reveals rich, ripe fruit in both its appearance and bouquet that given time to open offer aromas of marinated meat, blueberries, black pepper, and velvety chocolate. Almost tasting more like food than liquid, the aforementioned olfactory tones come through in the mouth as well, marrying the sheer weight of the wine with a persistently concentrated fruit profile. The finish lasts forever.
  • Acclaim: There were over 1600 entries from North America, Europe, South America and the Pacific Rim, and only 142 Gold medals awarded in the Vineyard and Winery Management Magazine's 2009 Grand Harvest Wine Competition and the Petroni Syrah won the Gold Medal.
