In 1997 McCrea introduced Viognier to the Northwest. Based on the dozens of wineries that have followed suit, it has proven to be very well suited to Washington. This year we revisit the complexity that Roussanne brings to what’s now a Washington classic. Medium bodied on the palate with flavors of green apple and honeydew melon that finish clean and dry.

The grapes from the 2005 vintage were carefully selected, as the crew scanned the vines for only the best fruit. Plump, round berries that produced aromas of ripe pears, melons, citrus and floral notes are accentuated with a lush, silky texture that finishes with a hint of sweetness. Our Viognier was whole-cluster pressed, and tank fermented to produce a clean, crisp wine full of exotic fruit. Serve chilled for a wonderfully refreshing wine.
