The 2009 Lodmell Cellars Saignee is medium strawberry in color and a nice dry wine. The touch and feel of the wine is its best note; it has a sensuous, elegant, rather civilized mouthfeel, absolutely European. The fruit on the palate is led by strawberry and rhubarb, a hint of cherry, and floral notes of rose.
