Slight cedar and black sherry scents add to its complex nose.Taste – A wine with mild tannins and medium weight, it exhibits rich berry flavors and should age gracefully for several years Food Pairing – Will pair well with pork, lamb and veal dishes.

This lot was cellar aged in small oak barrels for 30 months. The Petite Verdot was slightly overwhelming by itself, with big tannins and intense flavors. Tighter than Padres in the mouth, more linear, but this has a core of singular flavor intensity. Built for the cellar, like Padres. An interesting pair to re-consider in a decade.

Aromas of blackberry and truffle are found just below the surface. While massive in structure, the palate is filled with blackberries, clove and plum.
