Transplanted Sicilians, rejoice! This wine is the real deal and then some. 100% varietal, this wine has got a lot going on. deep ruby to purple in color, the first wiff brings a mix of blackfruits, sage, cinnamon, anise and chocolate with a touch of toasty oak. The palate has bright acidity and a firm grip, with the aromas translating fully to the mouth, adding a dried herb note in the long finish. Delicious now with some time in the decanter, or age a few years to soften it a bit.
