2007 Chardonnay

Vintage 2007: Weather was favorable leading up to harvest with warm weather leading to an early harvest. Weather changed and and became unseasonably cold resulting in white wines with high levels of acidity and flavors. Tank fermented on French oak staves. Tropical fruits with hints of oak spice and vanilla. Good balance; dry with medium body but a fresh and lively wine.

2005 Late Harvest Riesling

Hand-picked on and whole-cluster pressed, this is the fifth vintage from our home vineyard. Stone fruit and citrus scents in the nose open flavors of intense peach and lime concentration with substantial viscosity; the finish is long, rich and balanced. Shows a botrytis honeyd trail along with hints of peach and apricot on the palate.

2006 Winter Harvest White Wine
Appellation: Rattlesnake Hills
Riesling
Winemaker: Andy Gamache
Hand Picked after the first freeze of the season, then pressed frozen resulting in a 45.6 brix must at the start of fermentation. Tacking two and a half months to ferment resulted in a wine of rich pear, apricot, and nectarine aromas on the nose leading to pear honey and dried fruits on the palate. The viscosity is substantial, but balanced with significant acidity resulting in a long clean finish.

Demand for well-made Riesling reflects a growing interest in the amazing range of flavors available in the riesling grape. We hope that the extra effort we took with this grape reflects a new respect for the potential of Riesling in the Yakima Valley climate. Ours is a wonderfully balanced wine finished off dry with citrus and floral aromas and tastes of pear, peach and apricot that are ideal for asian food, sunny days, and just plain enjoyment.

2007 Black Muscat

Blend of Black Muscat, Muscat Ottonel, Merlot,

The naturally exuberant flavors of the Black Muscat varietal are nowhere more evident than in our off-dry specialty Rose. A short and cool five day fermentation on the skins, then an extended twenty day cool fermentation before stopping at 3% residual sugar. this resulted in the classic muscat aromas of strawberry and grapefruits. The acidity balances well with the residual sugar leaving a nice crisp finish.
