Paul Portteus grows some of the best Cabernet Franc in Washington State. Generally, Cabernet Franc is used as a blending grape in the Bordeaux blends for its wonderful nose, aromas, and red fruit flavors. Raspberry, Cranberry, Red Cherries explode! This wine was too good to blend!

Paul Portteus’ vineyard is one of the oldest in the State. Many of the great Washington wineries started with Portteus’ fruit, Leonetti, DeLille, Woodard Canyon, & Palouse, just to name a few! We are lucky enough to have known Paul for 30 years while he lived on Vashon Island, and are able to get some of his best fruit. Utterly divine it will elevate you to soaring heights! Our Riesling wine is clean, crisp and extremely well balanced. The peach, pear and apple flavors surround the tongue with just enough residual sweetness to balance the acidity. To protect the flavor intensity, grapes were harvested then quickly pressed to prevent a loss of freshness. 2007 Golden Pearl
Appellation: Columbia Valley
Viognier
Winemaker: George Kirkish
Hawaii in a glass! The Viognier grapes were pressed directly into 100% French oak barrels and fermented directly in the barrels. The wine developed a full bodied and rich flavor of tropical fruit (pineapple, guava, mango, lycee, etc) as well as pear, melons, peaches which fades into a spicy, perfumed finish. Great summer quaffer by itself or pares with a multitude of seafood, red meats, and cheeses. A red wine lovers white wine.
