Louis Caracciolo is the winemaker and owner. We have just completed our 25th harvest! Our wines have won MANY awards and have taken first place in more than one blind taste test in which there were California and French wines tasted against Amalthea's New Jersey wines. Winemaker Louis Caracciolo Louis Caracciolo has been making wine since his childhood when he helped his Italian immigrant grandfather make wine via the "hands off" approach. He calls it the 'archaic revival'. He does it the way it's been done for a thousand years. We just guide the process. We're not trying to force it in any direction. The key ingredients are: good vintage grapes, good barrels and time. |
