Named after our youngest daughter, Ruby Leigh is a blend of Merlot from Hedges North Block and Klipsun, Cabernet Sauvignon from Klipsun and Lewis Vineyards and Cabernet Franc from Ciel du Cheval Vineyard and Petit Verdot from Wahluke Slope Vineyard. 2006 WILDERNESS Red Blend
Appellation: Columbia Valley
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot
Winemaker: Chris Sparkman
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from Lewis Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills, Hedges Bel’ Villa and Klipsun Syrah, Kiona Sangiovese, all on Red Mountain, and Petit Verdot from Wahluke Slope. A forceful, rustic blend full of chocolately, smoky black fruit on the nose layered with violets, vanilla bean, cassis and cigar box. The palate is loaded with black cherry, Asian spices and sweet toasty oak.

Native fermentation and sur lie aging give our barrel-fermented chardonnay from Stillwater Creek Vineyard honeysuckle, lemon, pear and crème brulèe on the nose. Hazelnuts and nutmeg season a rich creamy citrus and peach midpalate leading to a long clean mineral finish.
