I prefer to age Sangiovese in neutral barrels to let the delicate fruit components and vineyard characteristics come forward. Medium bodied with lots of red fruit, a round balanced palate chased with a smooth, supple finish. I really enjoy this wine around a large table of friends and a family style Italian meal, it’s a perfect fit. Question? Red ------------- ---	2005 Claret Appellation: Columbia Valley Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Winemaker: Derek DesVoigne Bright, with a nose of cherry, chocolate and a hint of rose pedal. On the palate this wine is well balanced and has nice fruit and vanilla texture, but this year’s version finishes a little more stout in the tannin department. Question?
