    		 Family, new friends and good wines go together hand in hand, these are the ingredients that are our inspiration. We would love to share with you our passion - great wines and a little piece of our urban oasis, so you may share it with your friends and family. Stomani Cellars is focused on the creation of world-class, varietal wines produced from the Wahluke Slope of Washington State.

    We are a husband and wife team. The winery is located in the South Lake Union area, the heart of Seattle Washington. Alex is the winemaker, Sandi the event organizer. The very name of our winery "Stomani" reflects our approach to wine making. “Stomani” blends together Alex's surname "Manoni" and Sandi's surname "Stothers".

    Alex’s responsibilities as the Winemaker include coordinating all aspects of the production, cellar work, bottling, fruit purchase and evaluation. As the winemaker, Alex coordinates the quality assurance, product testing and evaluation, grading of the wine for the Reserve program. Alex has had the wine making bug since the earliest days when at holidays Uncle Pasquale and Dad would hand out glasses of watered down Dago Red.

    Prior to opening Stomani Cellars, Alex had been an amateur winemaker for many years. During this time Alex has won numerous medals for wines entered into competitions throughout the USA. Alex is a Certified Enologist from the Washington State University

  • Aglianico is an interesting red wine, traditional grown in Southern Italy. This wine shows off many layers of complexity, black pepper, bright red fruit and lean tannins. Washington State wine growing conditions are reminiscent of the traditional areas of Italy where this grape regions, Puglia, Bisilcata and Campania. This wine has been barrel aged for 16 months. Limited bottling. Shows best now thru 2019.

  • Barbera is an italian red wine varietal. Bold fruit, with hints of black pepper, spicy cinnamon nose, long supple tannins for an ageable wine. Acids pair well with hearty foods, stews, roasted meats and sauces. This wine was aged 18 months in New French oak barrels. We think you will agree this wine is memorable and one you will want for your cellar.

  • This wine is full bodied, dark fruit shows best, with hints of bing cherry. Mid-palate tannins are firm, with a nice long finish. This Cabernet will cellar for 8-10 years, or drink now. The wine has been aged in new French and American oak barrels for 22 months. Enjoy at room temperature. Serve with hearty foods, like stews, poultry, roasted meats, or American Style BBQ.

  • The name of the grape roughly translates from Italian to English as the "sweet one". This wine is light, and full of red berry flavors. Tannin levels are low to moderate.   • Sangiovese is our flagship wine. For our Reserva, we hold from each harvest the best barrels for extended ageing. This wine shows off many layers of complexity. We use the best Wahluke Slope fruit and our artisan winemaking techniques. Upon release, this wine has been barrel aged for 30 months, and held in bottle for an additional 6 months.   • Long ago my Dad Elio and my Uncle Pasquale like most Italians, made wine. This was my inspiration, and thier tribute. A dark, voluptuous Tuscan styled red blend of cabernet sauvignon, syrah and sangiovese. The deep purple in color, concentrated aromas of spice, blackberry, and eucalyptus. Full bodied, ripe blueberry, black currants, leather, toasted oak and a hint of minerality. Shows off silky, elegant tannins. Barrel aged 36 months. Limited bottling.
