The wine, while full bodied has a lighter feel on the palette than the 2003, bursting with dark orchard fruits with hints of vanilla and spice. Works well with pork, beef and roast chicken. This first release from the Verso Cellars East Orchard Mesa vineyard in Palisade is a plush, rich, concentrated Cabernet with layers of dark cherry, blackberry and currant that are vibrant and harmonious, blending with hints of nutmeg, clove and cinnamon spice notes.
