For our 4th wedding anniversary, Kristin and I opened a bottle of our first vintage, a 2000 Pinot Noir. At five years of age, it was delicate, sweet, aromatic, ruby, clear, haunting, leafy, complex, a beautifully balanced, delicious wine. If you’re a fan of Pinot, you won’t want to miss out on the 2005. Shares will be very limited this year.

2005 Brisage Rouge
Appellation: Red Mountain
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,
with plenty of pure, concentrated blackberry fruit, while floral notes, black flecks of dark chocolate and hints of spice complicate the picture. This is merlot as it should be grown, something more than a simple, soft red. It's bright, less structured and more delicate than cabernet, but just as complex.
