Fenestra Winery was established by the Replogle family on the historic Ruby Hill property and in 1980, occupied the century-old George True Winery building on Vallecitos Rd. The old building had been badly neglected, and the Replogles spent several years restoring it, installing a new roof, strengthening the building and eventually added solar panels. After leasing the building for 27 years, the Replogles purchased the 16.6 acre property in June, 2007. The property includes the estate vineyards (1.3 acres Mourvedre, 4.5 acres of Syrah and newly planted Grenache), the winery building, the beautiful creek, huge old oak trees and picnic grounds. The winery specializes in classically balanced, award-winning wines from primarily Livermore Valley grapes. Livermore Valley's first boutique winery, Fenestra has been producing wines since 1975. |

Winemaker Brent Amos Brent was hired on as Assistant Winemaker in 2005, and was then promoted to Winemaker in 2008. He was born in Riverside, CA and grew up in Placerville until his Junior year at East Bakersfield High School. He graduated from Fresno State in 2003 where he earned his BS in Enology. He married his high school sweetheart, Natalie, in Maui in 2005 and they moved to Livermore. Before Fenestra, Brent gained experience during his employment at Fritz and Ferrari-Cerano Wineries. When he's not devoting most of his time to making wine, he enjoys scuba diving, astronomy, and restoring his 1968 Dodge Charger. |
