Winemaker Mike Hallock produces elegant estate Pinot Noir, Dijon Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. “It is all about vineyard site.” That’s the belief of former geologist and winemaker Hallock. The vineyard was the culmination of a twelve year search for a location combining the best criteria of top quality Oregon and French terroirs. Trained as a winemaker in Colorado (really!), Hallock brought his tanks and equipment over the mountains on a flatbed for the first vintage in 1998. The winery is virtual (i.e. rented space), but the vineyard is very real.

Winemaker Mike Hallock	Mike Hallock was a Colorado geologist for many years before finding his dream vineyard site in Oregon. He apprenticed under a winemaker in Colorado and took numerous classes at Davis to fulfill his dream of making wine from the first Carabella harvest in 1998.

Extended sunshine in 2006 let me create a pinot noir with dominating fruit character. Approachable with an array of dark cherry, blackberry and plum character. The tannins are soft and fine-grained. White ---	2007 Dijon 76 Chardonnay Appellation: Chehalem Mountains Winemaker: Mike Hallock The Dijon 76 Chardonnay is a blend of the North and East Block Carabella fruit. The long cool fall in 2007 provided extended hang time. Gradual accumulation of flavors in the vineyard created a balanced blend, showcasing elegant crisp flavors from the East Block. White Dessert Wine ---	2006 Late Harvest Pinot Gris Appellation: Chehalem Mountains Dessert Wine Winemaker: Mike Hallock The lingering sunny fall provided just the right conditions to allow intense sugars to develop in the pinot gris. The grapes were picked a full 32 days after the main harvest. Aromas of honeysuckle and pie spice. Pale gold in color, flavors of wild honey and peach emerge.
