Owned by longtime Howell Mountain landscape architect Art Goulard and his wife Cherie, the Villa Hermosa vineyards were developed with exceptional dedication and care. The name Villa Hermosa, loosely translated to ‘beautiful country estate’, aptly describes the extraordinary site that inspired the vineyard.

The wines of Villa Hermosa Cellars express the pure, rich character of Howell Mountain fruit. The vineyard has presented us with intensely flavored grapes, and we honor this gift by simply lending a guiding hand as the wines develop. They present exceptional complexity and depth, the hallmarks of Howell Mountain. We produce 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, estate-grown on Howell Mountain, Napa Valley.

  • Showcasing the deep fruit character of Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain, this expressive wine presents elegant layers and refined tannins. On the nose, enticing aromas of blackberry and boysenberry mingle with hints of lilac and earthy spice. In the mouth, a warm, velvety entry flows to lush berry and stone fruits. Riding on a frame of supple tannins, the lengthy finish closes with waves of fruit, mocha and spice.
  • Acclaim: Villa Hermosa Cellars 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon received a "92" point rating from Wine Spectator, "91" points and two puffs in Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines, and a "90" point rating from Wine Enthusiast.
