At Artisanal Wine Cellars we take our inspiration from the American Arts and Crafts movement, where the vision was to produce hand crafted products based on honesty and simplicity. The American Arts and Crafts movement focused on the structure and nature of materials and the details of design and construction.

Our goal is to make wines that express the sum of the vineyard, the winegrower, and the winemaker. We work with small winegrowers in different viticultural areas of the Willamette Valley that have unique microclimates. This produces fruit which is a true expression of Oregon viticulture. As winemakers, we use modern equipment to gently process the fruit in small lots. At every step we strive to let the best qualities of the vineyard's fruit lead our winemaking. From the length of the cold soak to the strains of yeast used, to how we press the grapes and the types of barrels used for aging, we let the wine lead our choices.

To us, wine is about something shared, the flavors of the vineyard and the touch of the winemaker, that is brought to your table to enjoy over a meal with friends and family.

There is bright cherry on the palate with a backdrop of smoke and earth. Cinnamon and spice follow, filling out the profile on this fine example of the Chehalem Mountains AVA. The full cherry nose gradually gives way to earthier notes. All of the classic Adams characteristics are present on the palate with cherry, earth and spice predominating. Wonderfully bright fruit flavors emerge from this younger vineyard. The palate is full of raspberry and pomegranate and is followed by a subtle black pepper spice. White ---	2007 Viognier Appellation: Chehalem Mountains Winemaker: Tom Feller Our Viognier is a combination of warm climate fruit from Crawford Vineyard in Prosser, WA and cool climate fruit from Le Beau Vineyard in Sherwood, OR. This combination brings forward the classic Viognier nose along with a lovely minerality. Boasting a higher percentage of Oregon fruit in 2007, this Viognier has subtle notes of peach, fresh green grass, and hints of anise and ginger. White ---	2008 Dovetail White Appellation: Chehalem Mountains Viognier Blend Blend of Viognier, Roussanne, Winemaker: Tom Feller Our Dovetail White is a delightful blend of 50% Viognier and 50% Roussanne. The nose is lightly perfumed with floral scents typical of Viognier. The palate is abundant with spicy pear and warm honey.
