  • Went to a winemaker class and found out that the wines we liked seemed to be from older vines, greater than 15 years old, clone didn't matter, neither did anything else. The wine had complexity, length, and consistency. Why not take the "old vine" concept and make a wine out of it? These vines were planted in 1984 (first year we planted) and are all Pommard clone on its own roots.
