Midsummer Cellars is a very small winery specializing in small lot, vineyard designated Cabernet Sauvignon. Each lot is carefully crafted by us to insure the best wines possible reflecting the terroir of each indivdual vineyard.We invite you to visit us for a tour and to taste barrel samples as well as our current releases. We are located just 2/10ths of a mile off of the Silverado Trail at 771 Sage Canyon Road (Rutherford area). Because of our small and unique location we do request that visitors make and appointment. Winemaker Rollie Heitz Rollie Heitz has been involved in the wine business his entire life. While growing up he learned the business from his father Joe Heitz at the family winery Heitz Wine Cellars and continued on at Heitz for 18 years after college. After leaving Heitz Cellars and deciding to branch out on their own he and his wife Sally started Midsummer Cellars in 2000. |
