Shed Horn Cellars is the vision of award-winning winemaker Michael Wood. For more than twenty five years Michael has produced wines for prestigious Lake County wineries. After years of gaining knowledge and experience, he decided to pursue his own winemaking dream and created Shed Horn Cellars. Being an avid outdoorsman, Michael found a name for his winery easily with the idea of the powerful elk. After visiting the Yellowstone National Park several times, he decided that the Grand Tetons would be an excellent backdrop to the label. With Michael’s passion of the business and the assistance of his family, Shed Horn Cellars became a small family-owned winery producing its own award-winning wines. Shed Horn Cellars produces fine wines from the mountainous, wild, volcanic soils of Lake County’s most prestigious vineyards. We take pride in producing a memorable product at a reasonable price. Our small family-owned winery is located in Middletown, CA a beautiful rural area in Northern California just 40 miles from the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. We harvest only the finest quality grapes from Lake County’s high elevation vineyards to produce exceptional wine with intense oak and fruit flavors.
