The dark, rich, almost black raspberry color hints as to what is to come in this Right Bank Bordeaux style red. This wine is predominately merlot based, bolstered by some cabernet sauvignon and spiced with cabernet franc. The aromas are of earth and coffee grinds followed by flavors of bittersweet chocolate covered raspberry all held together with firm tannins and pleasing food friendly acidity. The early returns hint that this wine will continue to improve over the next two years.
