It is dark, ripe, rich and packed with black cherry, currant and smoky-spiced oak. It entices with an intoxicating fruit forward nose and finishes with firm but well integrated tannins. It is very approachable now, but can easily be cellared for another 5+ years if you can stand to do it. This wine pairs well with meaty and earthy dishes, yet provides an earth moving experience on its own.
