The wine is a blend of mostly Syrah, but there are a few other varieties blended in to coax out every nuance possible. As always, the color is inky purple. In the aroma and on the palate you will find an abundance of ripe fruit flavors such as black currant, dark cherry, blackberry, leather, spice, white pepper, and an enchanting floral element. Thisis a full bodied wine with a lingering finish. The structure is balanced and complex.

The color is a deep garnet. The nose greets you with aromas of blackberry, plum, strawberry jam, licorice, dried figs, and dates. The brandy preserves the natural sweetness of the grapes. At this point the two are perfectly integrated, there are no power struggles, the wine is balanced. The result is a fortified gem with loads of fruit and a long powerful finish.

The intense dark purple color of the wine shows hints of floral and gamy aromas followed by flavors of dark berries, espresso and chocolate wrapped in a core of structured and well managed tannins. On release, this wine is quite tight and will require aggressive aeration to maximize its expression. From our experience, this wine will begin to show in late 2008 and continue to develop until 2012.
