This Merlot has the classic dried cherry associated with the variety, enveloped by a complex range of black currant, pomegranate and cranberry flavors. It is nicely spiced by the influence of oak, and most notably present is vanilla bean and dried oregano. The 2004 SageCliffe Merlot can be characterized as having moderated tannin and its softness belies its youth
