This Merlot drinks earlier than other vintages. The grapes are from a new vineyard for us, Upland Vineyards in Sunnyside on Snipes Mountain, one of the newest AVAs in the state. This wine is soft in the middle with nice cherry and plum fruitiness. Serve with lighter meats and cheese. A roast pork shoulder would just about be perfect.
