We source the fruit for this bottling from a single block utilizing a single clone of Syrah; the Shenandoah clone. The result is a distinctive Syrah offering enticing aromas and flavors of blackberry, plum, and currant along with tobacco, sage, spice and smoky notes. Because of the intensity and concentration of flavor from this ranch, we felt confident that this wine could stand up to an aggressive oak regime. Therefore, we aged this wine in French oak (83% new) for 25 months before bottling....
